

it felt good to hear horns honking & brakes screeching & doors slamming. i miss it.
it felt good to walk 2 miles through the city to my friend’s apartment. i miss doing that.
it felt good to hail a cab when i didn’t want to walk back. i miss that.
it felt good eating at a restaurant i have never eaten ate. i miss doing that.
it felt good swiping my L card and riding the subway. i miss it.

it felt good having a chai tea latte & doing a crossword puzzle at the corner starbucks because i was early. i miss being able to do that.
it felt good to catch up with as many people as i could fit in such a short visit. i miss them.
